History of Casa Alfaro

Casa Alfaro was originally constructed in the early 1700s and named for its famous 18th-century resident, Padre Luis Felipe Neri de Alfaro, who commissioned the nearby Santuario de Atotonilco—a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the Sistine Chapel of the West.

From the home’s many terraces, guests can admire this architectural masterpiece, a landmark of Mexico’s rich cultural heritage.
